Default Downlevel PROM; should I upgrade?

I've determined that I have the original PROM in the ECM. Other than the idle symptoms that GM talks about are there other things addressed with the release of the new part? I occasionally have the high idle problem, but it alone isn't an issue with me.

Cost is $81; if I decide to change should I upgrade to a custom chip? If so, who makes the best one? TIA....

The 90 ZR1 also had a stock chip. Needed to be upgraded. I went with the Marc Randolph. With Marc's chip he was able to handel the idle problem, eliminate CAGS and turn on the fan's a-little sooner. Sold ! Bear in mind that the LT5 spent alot of time being tuned up by Chev. oh Merc or Louts. And big improvement's on the full throttle end just aren't there. Right now just waiting for the chip to arrive. I will let you know how it work's out.

I replaced my stock chip with the later release from GM and frankly couldn't tell any difference whatsoever.

If it doesn't bother you then why spend money unless you just have to. In that case I have the chip you need. Just send me $375.00 for each one. Yeah, really, it does matter which day of the week the chip is for. I also guarantee you each and every chip I ship is Y2K compliant.

You didn't ask for that feature to be disabled. The price will be more.
