Here are a couple of photos of my 91 #1139 that I bought in May. It has a black interior, both tops and now 44,000 miles on it. I am assuming that it has been chipped because the power key is on from when you start it and the 1-4 shift has been disabled and it has long tube headers, no cats into what looks like a stock LT-1 muffler. The wheels are aftermarket A-Molds that do not have the deep lugs on the back so that is something I will look to change in the future after I work the bugs out.

That is one Hot looking vette. Those mods and wheels I am sure set you back a few bucks. I left my 1990 ZR-1 stock as it will be easier to sell down the road, which may be soon as I really like the 2015 C7 Z51 with 8 speed Automatic. Happy motoring.

So far I have put 1800 miles on it driving back and forth to work a couple of days a week and some weekend use.

I had the same reaction when I stumbled on the ZR1 about 18 months ago. It's a longer story, but for the sake of brevity, I befriended the car's owner of 29 years and convinced him I'd give her the love and attention she deserves. In the deal I have a piece of Corvette history and a good friend to boot.

The car came from the IL/IN area, and I've been able to trace the ownership back to the 3rd in the mid 70's. The car is documented by a partial Order Copy. It's one of 3 known 456 posi ZR1's built in '70.

This is the tightest early (pre C4) corvette I've ever driven, and the solid lifter engine mated to a light weight flywheel lend to a very spirited ride. It drives like the racecar it is; anxious, tight and ready to run!

Here's a pic of the engine bay as found. Dunno why the fan was on backwards though...

456 rear? And I'm worried about revving to much on the highway going from a 3:36 rear to a 3:70 on my worked 73....Than again in NY there's so much traffic on the highways you can't do more than 50 anyway..

Great find....

Hi,

Thanks for your kind offer. I think I have bought most of the parts I need, so I should be Okay. I picked up some when I was in the US last year, and I ordered the brake pads and hoses from the UK.

Are you in Munich on holiday? It is a great city, not too big, and a great atmosphere.

Why,thank y'all very much. The fronts are 18-10s and the rears are 19-11 1/2. These have factory BS-OFFSET with 1/2 inch added to inside barrel. The wheels are HRE 560Rs I think,it's been awhile since I got them.

Much appreciated. Looks great on the car!
Any clearance issues on the inside, with the extra half inch? Do you have a project thread or similar on the car here on the forum?
