As far as the spelling, some people can get ****. I have a slight handicap that makes it difficult to type, so I can understand when letters are left out/transposed. If I didn't correct my typing mistakes, it would look like a foreign language.
BTW, it's "site", not "sight".

You won't see good prices for them for another 20 years or so.
I don't agree with this statement at all - It will be 10 years or when the car reaches roughly 30 year mark.
The right ZR-1s are still holding their value. I can still get what I paid for mine 4 years ago.
Bottom line is some people can't appreciate the ZR-1. Point in case, I just bought a 2001 C5 with 11,000 miles. On a 2 day drive, I had about 6 comments at gas stations, parking lots, kids stare and women flirt.
My regular C4 gets an occasional comment at the drive thru window at wendys and my ZR-1 gets some comments because it basically looks new. Most people think C4s are 80ish stylish cars and cheap. Little do they know how bad azz the ZR-1 is. I will never sell mine and I don't give a **** what other people think, I know what it is when I drive it and the feeling is incredible when that LT5 roars.
The funny thing is my 80's ZR-1 is worth more then my modern c5 lol

Yes I had the 80's comment happen to. I drove it to the gym and the punk rock chick with pink hair at the front desk said I see you got a new toy. She said how vice of you. I asked is that a new Xbox game or somthing. She said no, was'nt there a show in the 80's called vice. I said you mean miami vice, yeah that was it. How miami vice of you. To funny.

You are trying to sell a sports car in the fall. Expect the only offers to be on the lower side. If you want premium dollars, hold off till the spring. As had been said, purple is a hard sell no matter how rare it seems to be, so you should expect to wait to find that one buyer who 'has' to have your car. If you can afford to wait, best advice is to do so - if you can't afford to wait, take the closest offer to your asking price (don't be afraid to move on your price 2 or 3 thousand - or you'll wait till the snow flies and you'll either be taking 25K for the car, or working two jobs all winter to earn some extra cash). Lastly - there are a LOT of low mile ZR-1s out there in primo condition - these days, if you don't have less than 10K miles, a lot of buyers just walk away. Tough market for a car that is soundly out performed by a brand new C6 with a warranty for only 38K!

I have to agree with Johnny on this one. While I cant explain why the black one has not sold the purple one will be take a special buyer as purple while its extremely rare is just NOT a popular color.
I would wait until the spring to sell again as the winter months is so hard to sell except on the west coast. Good luck with your sales, they are both fine looking cars. GC !

It is a corvette thats wtf I meant. Camero's came with 396's. 66 67 corvettes came with 327 or 427. No covette ever came factory with a 396. Just 327,350,427,and 454. Heck I'm more familar with fords and even I knew that. Boy, sombody woke up on the wrong side of the bed.
I couldnt remeber if they had 427s in 66 thats not the issue you called it a Split window thats what my problem was
I said WTF is it becuase there wasnt ever a 1966 splitwindow 427 BB corvette it doesnt exsist not a 390 400 or 435hp version

There were plenty of C2s that came from the factory with a 396. Exact years and production #s Im not sure of (I want to say 65/66, they had their own hood)but Im positive on the engine size. Listen to a ALum head/solid cammed 425hp 396 sometime, it will give ya wood.

In 1965, 2157 Corvettes came with the 396 425 HP engine.

I feel your pain
As in " I want a car I can drive but not one with very many miles on it but it must run perfectly"
If it hasnt been driven it wont run at all much less perfectly
I think it is mostly 20 somethings playing around

Yep, Ralph Nader killed that center post. All Chevy had to do was move the mirror a little to the right and the problem would have disappeared. By not doing this, they made the 63 one of the most sought after Vette's of all time.

It's a kick in the **** to hear you youngin's talking about Corvettes that were made before some of you were born !! So many bad details. But I really like the interest everyone is showing. Unfortunately, being an old dude, I probably know more about the old Vettes than the new ones. Can't learn anything new now !!
