I am amazed at the offers which have been made on the 95 Black and 95 Purple ZR-1s for sale. I own the purple car and I can't believe that offers I have received. In reading the postings for the 95 Black ZR-1 he has had the same response. What gives, both cars are priced more than fare.

Best way to sell these things (Ive found) is to get em out at a larger show/auto swap where it can be seen. All the regulars here will only pay so much, it takes some guy out there at a show whose looking to buy something and stumbles across a Z he hasnt seen in years. Watch them flip out.
Forum may/may not help, dont base your sales price on what you see around here.

For almost the same price as an ultra low mile '95 ZR1 you can buy a brand new C6 that will outhandle and outrun a stock ZR1.
The current hype is the C6Z06 and next year the new ZR1.
I could buy a new C6Z06 to replace my ZR1, but I won't buy the new car unless I can manage to keep my ZR1 as well.
Personally, I just love the way the ZR1 looks and how the LT5 sounds.

Maybe we're the wrong market to ask since we already have our ZR-1s.
Good luck with your sale.

I think guys looking in the C4 section for a car don't have much money to spend. They see the ZR1 section and think maybe they can stretch their budget a little and score one these.
I think you'd have better luck finding a C5 or C6 guy who has the deep pockets and desire to pick up one of these rare, unique cars, especially at these kind of prices (I bought my GS while searching for a Z06)
Good luck, your car is worth more than what you're asking.

carsonline.com is probably a better bet.
Dont know what they are actually selling for but huge difference in listing prices as compared to the registry and on here. .
Cant blame a guy to see where the bottom line is, but offering 10k less?
Had someone bug me for days on mine only to find out he didnt have a dime, had to sell his DD and get loans totaling $800/mo to buy mine. Takes all kinds
'Course remarks like this dont help...

Not a vette story but: Speaking of punk buyers, I had my 68 Z28 at a car show - guy asked what it was appraised at & if it was for sale. I told him appraised @$35,000 & no it wasn't for sale but told him I'd take $50,000. Called me an a$$hole & walked away. I said a "see told you it wasn't for sale."
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car, oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car. Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, and torque is how far you move the wall when you hit it.

you want to sell that purple car you need to find someone who wants a 95 purple ZR-1 and I hate to tell you there are not to many that want that car.
If you have to sell it right now your going to take a hit. If you can hold off leave it up for sale then youll find a buyer it doesnt happen in a week.
Maybe you can call up one of the big old corvette places like corvette mike maybe even rogers would be interested in your car.
it sucks but ZR-1s have been beaten I say keep the car or suck up the loss

ZR-1 market is difficult to figure right now. I'd like one but have too many play cars! Problem is, if when I'm ready, nice ZR-1 prices and used C-6 Z06 prices are anywhere close all bets are off! I think this might apply to more than a few possible ZR-1 buyers JMHO

I have to agree with Johnny on this one. While I cant explain why the black one has not sold the purple one will be take a special buyer as purple while its extremely rare is just NOT a popular color.
I would wait until the spring to sell again as the winter months is so hard to sell except on the west coast. Good luck with your sales, they are both fine looking cars. GC !

I called the owner of corvette country in austin before I bought my Z just to see what the potential collector value would be down the road. Because they not only sell new vettes, They also have a show room with about 10 100% restored classic vettes for sale some of which were priced at $140,000 like a 1966 427 split window coup. So I figured who would better know than them. And he said if its in good shape hold on to it. Because in the next 7 to 8 years your going to see prices start to turn around for the zr-1. He said right now they are kind of in a limbo state just like all muscle cars were at one time. Just be patient.

It is a corvette thats wtf I meant. Camero's came with 396's. 66 67 corvettes came with 327 or 427. No covette ever came factory with a 396. Just 327,350,427,and 454. Heck I'm more familar with fords and even I knew that. Boy, sombody woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

You might want to check on the statement: "No Corvette ever came factory with a 396" Not to bust on you but it's Corvette not covette and Camaro not Camero

In 1965 Chevy produced a few Corvettes with the 396 "mystery motor" rated at 425 hp.
A local guy here in NoVA has a beautiful white one that looks like it just came off the showroom floor.

Your right about the 65 having a 396 in it. But not 66 or 67. And as far as spelling goes I've seen plenty of bad spelling on this sight . So what. But I can admit when I'm wrong, but not about the years.
