Helm manuals
When you call your order in you just need to make sure you specify: ST36491LT5K
If you only ask for a '91 Corvette you will receive just the Corvette publications and NOT the LT5 SMS. It makes no difference in the cost, you just need to mention the correct publication. A year ago they were only doing the "loose leaf" publications but the order blank on the link doesn't mention this. It seems the link is for the original "Red Publications" that are bound. You might ask!

Melting Slicks
'91 manuals
Seeing this post just reminded me, I have these manuals and since '91 #338 is now a crispy critter, I can offer these to any prospective buyer. I also have radio amp boards and all of the below:
Regarding ZR1 #338, that burned:
I managed to get close enough to the motor yesterday to discover that the engine appears to have survived nearly complete. Yes, the wires and computer are gone, as well as all hoses, etc. The valve covers did not melt. That could indicate the cams are okay. The plenum I cannot see, but it may be okay also.
The transmission was protected by the metal tunnel on the top of it and appears to be fine. I cannot get to the bottom of the car though. The rear end should also be okay.
As to anyone buying it, or anyone buying it: best I can do is drag the entire chassis out of the garage and sell it whole, frame and all. That would require
someone with a flat bed to haul it away after hoisting it onto said truck. No way I can drag the remains out and then attempt to remove the motor, etc. I guess a
buyer who was interested enough could hire a local mechanic to do that, but an engine lift would be needed, etc. Also, this engine removal would have to be done in like one day as the car is in a residential neighborhood where folks would raise hell if the carcass were left on the driveway for more than a day.
In light of what I have discovered, I would like to get $3,000 for the entire carcass,
or, $2,500 for the LT5, $800 for the transmission and $300 for the rest of the drive line.
Any disassembly would have to be at the buyers expense.
This would all be based upon a sight inspection and approval by all parties.
I do not know how fair of a deal this would be as I have never had a burned out carcass to contend with. I do know the LT5 should have many usable parts along with a transmission that is difficult to find. The carcass may also have other usable parts that could be salvaged!
I have an offer for the almost new bronze top and the owners kit. I have not sold anything to
anyone as yet.
Thanks,
Kely

Kely, send me over pictures. Fire is a very damaging process to metal. The other thing is there is a lot of rubber & plastic in around the motor area for the ignition controls and vacuum assembly.
