Default ZR1 Corvette Kid's Bed??

Hi gents. I generally don't come over here much, but I do have a quick question that some of you may be able to help with. I figured I'd post it here in this section, since most ZR1 guys stop in here first.

Have any of you ever heard, seen or know anything about those 1/4 scale ZR1 Corvette childrens beds that were sold in the late 80's-early 90's? I don't mean those junk plastic things they try to pass off as a "Corvette" today, but rather the real, authentic-looking, fiberglass Corvette ZR1 kids single beds that actually looked real, had nice mattresses, neat graphics on them, etc?

I've seen one in the past, but I don't know who made them, if they are discontinued, how much they are, how much they should be, etc. Any help form you ZR1 gear heads that may of heard of these would be a big help!

Thanks gents and motor on!

Best Regards,
Phil

Indeed I did and thanks for the reply. The one I saw was in a private Corvette Museum/Car Collection I went to while I was with LPE, that was owned by a customer at the time. I can't remember who it was though..

If anyone can provide a link or anything, I'll do the searching, I just can't seem to find any leads any where for some reason.

Thanks.

Phil:

Probably no one has replied because we've never seen one or can't add any useful information.
A quick Google search using "Corvette Bed" revealed a couple of cheesy looking ones, but nothing like you describe.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

I saw those "cheesy" Corvette beds they try to sell these days myself and I agree with you...*ugly*! Thanks for the reply and I'll keep poking around.

That's the one!!!! WOW! Thank you!!

It's too bad that thing is beat to death, otherwise, it would be mine. At least I know a little more about it now to do a better search for it. Thanks so much for the help, you guys are super.

Wow! That's a kickass bed! I wish I had one for myself!

But that whole 6'6" thing along with that whole fiance thing would probably not agree with that bed!

I bought one for my 1st grandson. I bought it used from a guy in FL. Had to have it so he was properly indoctrinated to cars you know! I don't think they are available any more. The one I bought is red, not sure if they made them in any other colors.

Phil, i had a friend who had one of those beds, he bought it for his
son, but i really think he ended up sleeping in it alot.
I did a little snooping today, and didn't come up with much.
Just the cheesiest, kind. but hey, i don't know if you'd be in the
market, but, this is a pretty neat, almost crash proof item.

I found a white one, (like the one in the photo) that my friend turned me to that is in mint condition, with the exception of a few HeMan- Masters Of The Universe stickers on it that can easily be peeled off.

Phil
