But as you can appreciate, the General does not recall it's vehicles because of a few bad apples. The statistics have to even impress the lawyers enough to send out the letters and bring the cars back to the dealers. They don't ask the CF for their opinion - they see the mounting lawsuits against issues that are design flaw related and decide it's time to do the repairs at GM's cost instead of the buyer's.
