Default one man's junk is another man's treasure

I am in the process of building a new bar and restaurant. And, for those of you that are allowed into
public places, you might remember all the stuff on the
walls of you're favorite watering hole or restaurant, decorations if you will
Anything from a car hood,
to autographed pictures, signs, anything cool and unusual, i'm in the market for. So, if you have something ya might want to sell or donate, send me a pic, i'm a waiting...

P.S. please don't post anything stupid here, like playboy pics or xxx rated stuff, Unless that is, where you like to dine.
I know this will come as a shock, but for me, this is a serious post.

I, too want to open a joint, and think you should go on EBay
for a couple of catalogs, as well as other 'donations' ...
fill up the walls as you go, signed by locals....
good luck.

Good luck with the new business Keith. Be sure and let us know where it is when it opens. I'm back and forth between KC and St. Louis frequently, so it might make a great stopping place for us.

That has me laughing!
Had not heard that one before!
Oh how true it is!
Can be thousands of $$$ in rare and perfect parts, but they would rather see empty basement floor instead.

the corvette rear valence with working lights sure looks good, as would an ornamental cam cover powder coated.

come to spring carlisle, they have all the old car signs which look cool.

well are you just looking for random things or what. I mean I like a resturant to have stuff on the walls I think its cool but I believe it should have a flair to it associated with the area the place it located.

Like here alot of places have marine stuff on the walls
One bar is nothing but old marine **** all over the place to include old weapons and uniforms very cool place for history not so go for picking up single women, Married ok but single not so much.

I could send you some Iraqi money

the restaurant, will be "themed" on a tropical note.
i used to live in south florida, and am a closet parrothead, that being said, it looks like the name
is gonna be .. "Coconutz" bar and grill.
if any of you have been in an appleby's or a "Dick's last resort, or any cool restaurant, we've noticed the more stuff on the walls, the better. my friends bar has a model T on the wall, so...if any of you have anything you thought was cool, that used to be in the house, that the wife has delegated for the garage, or worse
basement storage. it might just be a treasure.
contact me.
oh, and by the way, i have been scouring ebay and craigslist,

Applebee's generally has a lot of different items in it. Not necessarily themed. Ours has some items from the local schools like uniforms, helmets, musical instruments, etc.

We also have a bar/grill here that is surfer themed complete with surf boards, sharks and a VW microbus.

lots of fish nets, sea shells etc too.

You might want to consider going to flea markets, should be plenty in St Louis...and just picking up stuff there.

It somewhat depends on whether you want lots of neat old stuff like in Applebee's or if the entire place with be "tropical"

Maybe you could pick up grass skirts and coconut bras for your help...

dennis, i had a coconut bra, but Uly took such a liking to it in bowling green, i let him keep it...
I have been somewhat successful, finding some items,
but in reality, the idea of this post was not to get more idea's, but to see if anyone, had any items in
their basements, or what not. they might wanna sell.
I know many of the zr1 group have alot of "items"
in just their closets. i was hoping to find a jewel in the rough, so to speak.

At my local watering hole, I donated a 29X50 Cardboard Coca-Cola sign in the original frame dated 1949, just so I wouldn't have to stare at a blank wall at "my" table.

Hey Keith, congrats and good luck with the new venture man! I'll look around and see what I got that you might be interested in...maybe the wife can designate some stuff that I can send to ya, which would make her happy and allow me to wiggle my way back into a Z sooner rather than later.
