Default zr1 for sale and others

1984 corvette--original owner. It is the only car built to this spec in 84. I mean the only one!! It does not even show up in the books. My dad pulled a string to get the color combination thru. It is medium blue with silver interior. Silver was not offered with blue in 84. Additionally, it is a 4 speed which was not available til the end of 84. The car has 12 or 13 k on it. 20,000.00

1991 burgandy/metallic zr1. 2nd owner car. Car has 13k on it. The original wheels and tires have 5500 miles on them. Car is very very nice. We have owned it for 13 or more years. It currently has the newer style zr1 wheels on it now with new tires and tire pressure sensors to keep originals intact. The original wheels and tires have 5500 miles on them. We have both tops too. To take everything(the car, both tops, both sets of wheels will be 35 grand. We can make deductions accordingly on things that are not wanted. 1975 steel blue metallic convertible. My dad ordered it personally with Don yenko. The color was going to be discontinued so my dad had to choose between the color and the bigger engine. Therefore, he obviously took the color. The car was painted 3 times before he took delivery due to burn marks(from the factory) in the paint because it had so much metallic in it which is why they discontinued steel blue metallic. They only made 300 cars in a convertible in that color. The seats were replaced too due to a tear and the foam losing its elasticity. The car was striipped and painted 2 years ago so it is sweet. It has 17 k on it. It has the 76 aluminum wheels on it with eagle st tires. The wheels were professionally polished to make them like a babies bottom. We have the original wheels which have been plastic beaded. We have new trim rings and centers in the box. We also have the original steel guard tires which are worth a thousand a piece. We have 5 of these tires that are brand new. To take the car the way it sits is 30 grand. The original wheels and tires will be an extra 5500

You probably should put this back in the for sale section. At those prices, you'd probably have better luck at Barret Jackson! Good luck with them.

If it had such special paint and only 17 K miles on it, why was it repainted 2 yrs ago? Can't be that special if you didn't keep the original paint.

Its lacquer paint. That stuff doesn't hold up. Even when they are garaged their whole life it will check and have problems. Its not uncommon for super low mile original paint cars to have paint problems.

I dono, lacquer was only used on St. Louis built cars (to 1981, or 27 years), I believe all Bowling Green cars were enamel. Most of the C4 colors were bc/cc

I know what your saying, 81 was the first year for bc/cc. They used it on the two tone cars. They still used some laquer but 81 on up was fastly moving to bc/cc. Lacquer was used in 1975 so I don't know what he is trying to say with the BS Alert May just have his facts screwed up.

...and to come into the ZR-1 forum and talk about a ZR-1 with "burgundy" paint...EVERYONE in here knows they didn't make that color...it's Dark Red Metallic color #75U and there were 90 built with that color in 1991 dude....and the "newer style" ZR-1 wheels...which style? Sawblades (which ones of those), A-molds (satin/chrome/black chrome)??? at least his name is correct.....aquack!

The picture in his signature. You might have signatures disabled.

You all sure can be harsh on some of these cars. He's just offering it for sale, no one has to buy it.

Yes we can be harsh know doubt, but I was backing the original post up by simply saying in so many words, its not unusual for a 75 to have been painted since 75 regardless of 17,000 miles, that the original paint didn't last well even when it was taken care of.

Heck, I'd be proud to have all three cars in my garage.
Although I'd need a bigger garage...
