Default Well crap! I don't think I needed a clutch

Called a couple of places, and tried to explain where I was measuring depth of material from, and must not have explained well I guess. My old clutch measured .040 of material, and the new one measures .045? .005 doesn't seem like a lot of wear. These things just don't look like they have alot of material on them!

Third gear synchro has always given me trouble, and I was just tired of it........so I had Bill B. rebuild it, and thought I should get a new clutch....50k mileage.......I did check overall thickness, and it was .285 which I guess is worth changing. New is .310 overall thickness. Oh well, it will be good when it's done!

Well if the ZF.DOC did the rebuild it I would put the new clutch in and keep the other as a spare if you have a dynamc failure later on. What the hell your there already
