Hi guys, I finally got my ZR1. 91 RED, RED, with 34,700 miles. Picked it up shortly before Christmas, it's now in my garage here in Cambridge, ON. Can. waiting for spring. I have some novice questions. Removing the front license plate cover. Is it the 2 philips head screws I see below the cover? I am told the roof hasn't been off the car for maybe 4 years, any advice when I take it off for the first time. Lastly I want to attend some Corvette or ZR1 meets in the north eastern U.S. say NY, PA, OH, MI, etc. I plan on going to Bowling Green this spring.

Is it a Canadian car? Who did you buy it from? Are you a member of the registry?

Welcome to the club !
I take it you are wanting to install the front license plate ? Those 2 screws mentioned previously should be all that is nessasary to remove that piece of facia.
The Bowling Green NCM is awesome !
Enjoy

Thanks for the info on the license plate removal. I bought the car near Rochester, NY. I'm the 4th. owner I think, the car is in excellent shape. Yes I'm a member of the registry. It would be nice to hear from owners close by maybe we could hook up in the spring.

Congrats on the car Terry. Just got in from Cuba today and getting caught up on the posts the past week. I'm about a half hour from you and happy to help in any way I can. There is lots to do cruise wise etc and there are a couple other Canuk ZR1 owners here that know there way around a ZR1 real well. Except that one of them keeps dodging my request and leaves a certain black car in the garage BTW took the ZR around the block today to stretch her legs since the roads were spotless here

When I take my roof off, I usually apply some rubber protectant to the weatherstripping since it's an easy time to do it. Congrats on the purchase!

Congrats Terry. I am a little further away from you than Mike (I am in Sarnia with a '91 Red on Black), but be glad to help in any way I can.

Look forward to that Ontario gathering this summer...

The roof should be taken off when it is warm
The cold might cause the weather stripping to be brittle
Heated garage would be fine

Welcome to the madness

Hi Shawn;
I'm sure it's a U.S. car. Drivers door sticker says built 09, 1990.
Serial number last 3 nos. is 088. Does that make it the 88th. car off the line?
Terry

Yes most likely if it was built 09/90. #1088 would have been built later.
