I have a set of these exhaust cams, going to put them on the intake side and run a milder set of exhaust cams

That is awesome . I am still in my mid 20s so I have been brought up around the LS1/2. Do you know what all mods he had on his? That MPH is seriously quick.

his tuning, cams, head porting, and tuning skills are amazing
he's running quicker and with the same MPH as most of the high end strokers
I was THRILLED to get 129 trap speed and that's with a 390 LPE with "full boogie" treatment
I suspect pete's heads flow way better and he certainly is a much better driver than I'll ever be.
my bet is that he's also over 500 at the tire by now. I make 508 to run that same MPH

His car also weighs a bit less.

So, what's he done to lose the weight?
That's a phenomenal setup. Somebody should do a write up on how he has accomplished this, that is if he doesn't mind divulging his secrets.
Damn, I'm a full second, and 12mph slower with the same shortblock. What a great motor this is. Twenty years later, and guys are STILL tweaking more power from it.

Here's the car in the flesh from a few years ago. And it still drives like a stock LT-5 albeit w a slightly higher idle and a bit more shake.

Some things are obvious like A/C delete, spare tire etc. Flywheel not only reduces weight by 14lbs, but also rotational mass. Other things, I would have to kill you if I told you. He was running an electric water pump but realized it wasn't worth the gain in parasitic losses vs reliability.
