Yellow 95 soon to be for sale
Just noticed 1995 Yellow #342 'coming soon' to Rogers in Orlando. Anyone know any history on this car? No price posted but I'm guessing will be around $59,900.
Not trying to advertise or anything just kinda unique to see a 266 mile yellow car some up for sale.

That might be true if you were comparing apples to apples but you can't compare a red 90 to a yellow 95.
That is apples to bananas not apples to apples.
Totally different pricing structure.
Also, there are 49 yellow 95 ZR-1s with 405HP. How many are still super low mileage? A few I'm sure.
Now Red 90's there are 1,566 - How many are low mileage? A ton I bet.

So with that thinking.....
What would a Admiral Blue car be worth... Only 2 years available much more limited color, and has always drawn in a bigger crowd then a yellow car.
95 to 95 apples to apples. can sell you a yellow or admiral for $59,900 would you buy it.

I can't comment on which color draws in a bigger crowd because quite honestly I've never seen a Yellow & Admiral Blue ZR-1 at the same show.
I can tell you that Higher HP, Options, Color, and total production play a big part in the equation with obviously condition being vital as well.
How much more is a AB worth you ask? Hard for me to say in this economy, but I will say a good amount more then a Red 90. Also, in my opinion I think 179 miles works against your car.
I don't like paying Top $ at a Specialty corvette shop. I wouldn't pay top dollar. I would shop around for a year and find it on my own.
To me, its all about supply & demand and what someone is willing to pay for the car. Bottom line is that there are a ton of 90s in both red & black. Are Red & Black nice colors, sure most people would pick them over yellow. However, if you are selling and a buyer doesn't like your price, he can find red & black Z's in abundant #s at a cheaper price. I've seen it over and over again particularly at the NCRS event in Orlando.
If you have a low production color a buyer can't easily do that. People like what they like and will pay a premium to get it.
When I bought my car, it took me over a year to find the damn thing. I wanted to pay the guy a few thousand dollars less to steal it but the car was all there and he knew I wasn't going walk away after paying a ton of $ for airline tickets, hotels and rental cars. I paid the asking price and was damn happy to get the car versus going back to my home and the drawing board for another year.
That is the advantage a place like Roger's or H&H Corvettes that people don't comprehend. Time is $. To some people paying an extra $10,000 is worth it then to screw around for months and months. They simply cut a check and get what they want in a simple transaction.
What would I pay Roger's for that car? Well since, the economy sux and Obama is running it further into the ground, I'd pay a max of $50,000. The rest I would use on hookers and beer before Obama steals all my $.

I lived in Orlando for years, and have been to Roger's on a number of occasions and car shows. His price is his price and he doesn't deal.
Yes, cars can sit there for years sometimes but the buyers do come along.

The only data we have is that it has a black interior, was ordered with the optional bronze roof glass, and from 1998-2002 called Dayton, Ohio its home. Additionally, there is no confirmation of the car being a 2 Dunn head car (but no confirmation that it isn't).
Now, is it worth $59,900 - perhaps - to a buyer who may never drive it. It's unfortunate that these near zero mileage cars should go for more than low mileage cars (say 200 miles per year minimum) when their complete lack of usage renders them as static displays. There's too much to deteriorate when the car isn't exercised on some regular basis.

If I remember right that 95 Yellow car in France went "cheap" for $55k and it had delivery miles only?
$65k is worth it if you don't plan on driving it....
Now $36k for a 90 ZR-1 MSO is way too damn cheap!

I got tired of spending a year trying to find just the right car. From now on I just tell JC what I want and he finds it for me, and makes sure it's the right car. I have had 6 or 7 Corvettes, and the only 2 I have left are the keepers that I bought from JC. And I didn't pay an extra $10,000 either - his prices were in line with some private sales I was looking at.

My point is you would not pay this kind of money for the 95 and 99.9% of everyone else will not pay this price today. But, the same time you say a 90 is not worth $36 . If you are ready to spend 50k I will sell you a low 95 AB or Yellow car right now.

I'm not saying your car is not worth $36,000, the current market is saying your car is not worth $36,000.
You know this already though as you have had the car for sale for a long time and also wanted to part it out to get your $36k.
You should just start driving the car and enjoying it or do a long term hold on it or better yet do both as I think the 179 mileage is a concern for quite a few buyers. Have the fluids ever been changed on the car?
Prices are not coming back on ZR-1's for quite some time, especially when the later cars keep dropping in price and competing with the early ZR-1s.
I'm not sure why you are flying the BS flag on me for saying I would pay $50,000 for the Right unique 95 ZR-1 but ok
Your car has the potential to bring you some good $. However, you will need to hold the car a long time - a minimum of 10 years and it doesn't seem like you are prepared to do that. Also keep in mind that if you took a loss and sold it for $30,000, that would be $60,000 in 10 years if you invested it. I don't think a Red 90 will be worth $60,000 in 10 years even if it was driven minimally.
However, you only need 1 buyer. Heck you could take it to BJ this year and some drunk yahoo could bid $60,000 on it.
Bottom line, you have yourself a pristine car, you just have some decisions to make moving forward.
This is just my opinion, take it for the .02 its worth - just trying be helpful. I could be full of **** and not have a clue
Perhaps BB62 will chime in, that **** knows a thing or two

I can't comment on what the car is worth. The pack I run with do not have that kind of capitol to spend on something you can't drive. I'm sure someone might think it is worth it and that is all it takes, just one person to write the check.
Man, I have to start rethinking who I hand out with
I couldn't even afford that red 90 for 36k.(seems like a good deal)
My wife would divorce me and then I would half of what I don't have already.
