Default WTB: Pair of ZR-1 ported heads complete

Looking for a set complete with valves, springs, etc. that is designed for a lightly modded, stock cube LT-5.

One question, I have a set of Vandevender head's complet with out the cam covers because the previous owner is still looking for them So Haibeck told me that if I find an other pair of covers I could get my machine shop to fit them.

Those anyone have a set laying in it's garage and if so how much$? I don't want to use my actual cam covers to keep the option of bringhing back the engine to it's stock configuration.

My understanding is that this would be quite difficult to do. The original tooling and machining for this has been scrapped some time ago. BEcause of the length of the head, it required the align bore to be pulled rather than pushed thru the cam cover/head interface.

Did you buy these heads with the understanding the cam covers were part of the sale?

Dominic, thank's for the tip regarding the way they process the line bore. Jeff, As for the head's purchase, they came with several boxes of spare and original parts, tires, original exhaust, clutch, etc... (my closed trailer was full) and the cam cover were suppose to be in one of these boxes (heads are in wooden crates) but never to be found. The previous owner found more parts in is garage for me that he will give me since he doesn't need them but still is looking for them in his 3 differente garages. He was sure that they were in the stack of parts he gave me...

He will get back to me next week.

Martin

PS: I should've went through every dam boxes before I leave that evening, even if it was really late.
