OK, here is some early stuff that I have had for years about the 89 ZR-1 from the C P C Engineering Dept

Nice paper to read after 20 years!
If you look on the 2ed to last page:
"Available option on both the coupe and convertible"
So at the start on the run ( 1989 that never happen)
they were going to make it just a motor option.
back in 89 when I ordered my car, so many wanted to buy one only if it was a convertible.........
