Default Which exhaust do you like the best & why

Getting down to the end of my spruce up project on 618, so we can have fun. After putting extra soundproofing in now I got to change the exhaust mine is stock so lets hear from the gurus about sound & fit.

Do not want rattle the windows loud and drone that will make my wife scream 'What did you do to this car" Like to stay with stainless

Thanks

B&B
Corsca

or ??????

B&B is the better performing exhaust from all I hear but tends to be a bit louder and most complain about drone at certain speeds. They also tuck nicely under the backof the car.

Corsa is what I went with to prevent any drone from the car or the passenger seat. Sounds like you have a similar "passenger seat" in your car. They kind of look like two 5 gallon buckets under the rear of the car though.

Marc Haibeck has documented that the Corsa is actually worth about 5hp above the B&B, due to lower restriction thru the mufflers (and possibly resonator too).

The best exhaust I ever had was on my 95 when I put a chambered exhaust on there.I first heard one at CARLISLE and came right home and bought one.At the time, I bought it from Mike at WWW.SWEET-THUNDER.COM. ... no[/url] idea if he's still around or if they make them for the Vette anymore.Pricing was about 200 bucks I think and the sound was incredible.

They both look nice installed but I can't stand the drone of the B&B. The Corsa sounds absolutely wicked with headers at WOT!

The interior noise and drone level is decreased some , because of the decreased ID of the resinator.

Been there, done that. If you want great sound, get the B&B. If you don't want drone to drive you crazy there are only 2. The latest versions of both the Corsa and the Magnaflow. Corsa being better (and more expensive) of the two. Corsa is 2.5 inch and Magnaflow is 3 inch. As always Haibeck knows what he is talking about.

Here's how mine looks with the Corsa's

I have had B&B on two different cars. The Drone was painful and made it difficult to have a conversation in the car with the passenger. If you are building a track car I suggest stick with the B&B system as its the best flowing system out these beyond straight pipes

If you have a daily driver like me Corsa is the way to go without a doubt and it does snarl when hammerd at WOT. Corsa is the best crusing system out there.

Cut the muffs off and run the exhaust through the stock resonator and straight pipes. Sounds bitchin' and was worth almost 9 hp and 18 lb/ft of torque. Very little to no resonance at cruising speed.

Exhaust in the ZR1 community is a very controversial subject.

I became a flowmaster catback fan back when Ed owned your car. Liked it so much, we installed it on our Z. WE LOVE IT!!!

When I was in the market for an aftermarket exhaust system Borla was no longer making a one designed for our cars.
But that was a couple of years ago.
