Default GM follows Toyota to expand brake override

FYI,
General Motors said yesterday that it will install a brake-override safety feature in all its new vehicles worldwide by 2012. The automaker currently uses this system in several models in the United States, including the Chevy Corvette. The automaker's announcement comes as federal regulators consider making the system mandatory on cars and trucks, and follows Toyota's February announcement that it will include brake override on all new 2011 cars, as well as an expanded range of existing vehicles. The feature automatically reduces engine power when the brake pedal and the accelerator pedal are applied simultaneously under certain driving conditions.

Well so long stand still burnouts! Maybe this will help bring back our ZR-1s value back to where it should be? Then, maybe not!
