Default Conditions in BG?

Anybody have any info on weather related conditions in Bowling Green? I talked to some folks at a vette club meeting tonight who were at the C 5/6 Bash last week. They said it rained Sunday like a cow *&0#ing on a flat rock. (Actually those were not their exact words.) Some basement flooding, some leaks in the NCM roof. There is nothing on the NCM website. I assume no long term problems.

I spoke with some people at the museum today. The Gathering is still on. Drag Racing at this time has been cancelled, but all other presentations, meetings, seminars, road trips, etc. are moving forward.
I hope that helps, see you in Bowling Green.

Default Don't forget the floaties

Everytime I have gone there, it has poored rain. However, that only lasts a day or so. I would still go anyway. I am used to bad weather being from Texas and Oklahoma. BWG doesn't have any tornadoes, yet.

Everytime I've been there it rains, it's just a fact that time of the year. The last time I saw hail the size of golf ***** pummel all of the NCRS cars out on the lawn of the NCM....

Anyway, does anyone know where in town threre is a good full service car wash?

TIA

A good self serve on rt 231 Scottsville rd. Get off 65 south at the top of the hill make a left. The car wash is 1/4 of a mile on the left.

Yes, that helps. Thanks. If the event is still on I'm pretty much committed; event registration, hotel, kennel reservation. I'll bring an umbrella.

BTW, at past C5/6 Bashes some hotels (Garden Inn) have connected hoses in back of their buildings so that we could wash our cars there. We'll see if they will do it for a C4. I'm bringing a bucket just in case.

drags are out, but the weather doesn't look too bad. there are always some thunderstorms in bg, and will be again this year, but we abviously dodged a very big bullet (12 inches of rain)

the water has gone down at the track, but lots of damage

ncm and the areas we hang out are just fine

cu there, this is the big one

happy 20th anniversary!

Look at the pics and see for yourself why the drags are not going on. Click the link for pics http://www.beechbend.com/dragstrip.htm

New pics released showing track now dry, its the rest of the place thats preventing the opening as you could imagine after such amounts of rushing water...

Looks like they are shooting for a 16th reopening date for the track, wish we could talk them into backing it up by one day, the racing is a big draw for me during the Gathering and I'm sure for a lot of other folks!
