ok local guy has a damange pro hood i have a donor hood is this worth fixing going to give me a price on the hood monday

No! this hood looks to be a made from a hand lay up of fiberglass, the stock hood would be SMC.

This could be fixed, but if you have to pay for the labor it would be cheaper to buy a new hood.

Run away from this!

If it's hand laid, which it should be, it would be an easy fix. Only need to make a mold off of a good hood section and splice it together. I am 1.5 hrs from Dayton. Bring it to me and I'll fix it.

Is it on a race car? If so, I'd fix it and go on racing.

I don't think I'd buy it to use on a daily driver or anything. Only a race car for the weight savings.

SMC is fiberglass...SMC defines a process. BMC was the process used before SMC but both processes are fiberglass strands and resin. BMC is bulk molded compound while SMC is sheet molded compound and they use different types of resin.

I believe the Toledo Pro hoods are basic hand lay up. Resin and matt. No squeezing, time, heat, pressure method like SMC or BMC.
