Joe,

So what color is the interior and what color is it going to be?

I think if I had the chance to get my Z painted and could do a color change I would do it as well. But as much as I like the copper, I would have to do a color that goes with my red/black interior

The interior is currently black and it will remain black. I will just "freshen" it up a bit. Ideally, I would have found a '94 car with a light beige interior. I think that would have been stunning, but I could not find a '94 at the price point to do this. I could change the color of this interior, but I am happy with the contrast of the black interior.

This project was all about the exterior color, and I'm satisfied with the way it is turning out.

I believe the reason for the rarity is the paint wasnt consistent from panel to panel and the color was discontinued. Years ago I remember seeing a CM Coupe and I'm talking to the guy and he had no idea how rare the color was and then I asked him when was the last time he saw another CM? Got a blank look on his face.

I love the fact when I'm out and about with the car people say, "I've never seen one that color before." Then when the real Corvette enthusiasts realize it's a ZR-1, they know it's different.
