Default South Texas ZR-1 BBQ Weekend 11/5 to 11/7/2010 in New Braunfels

Friday night drag racing at San Antonio Raceway - http://www.sanantonioraceway.com/schedule.htm
run what you brung. And no, I don't know what "Friday Night Fights and Test & Tune" means.

Saturday morning 10:00 AM to mid-afternoon - impromptu car show and dyno runs at Corey Henderson's shop
http://www.hendersonperformance.com/ Will, please bring that red TT and spin the dyno.

Saturday afternoon (late) and evening - BBQ at the Breitung ranch - we'll provide the food,
but you bring your own liquid refreshments. Some pictures from last year courtesy of
Jim Voter: http://www.zr1.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10135

Sunday - Air Show at Lackland AFB - http://www.lackland.af.mil/airshow/index.asp It's worth
the trip just to see the F-22 fly.

with closing activities Sunday afternoon.

RSVP by email please - all responders go on an alias list for any updates.

Regards,

Talked to Will last night. 5 6 7 is the start of deer season. If it was a week earlier he could come. But then I wouldn't be able to come because of Halloween. But I can make 5 6 7. Well if Will and Ryan's not going it looks like I'll just have to break the speed limit all by my lonesome down I-10 getting there. Can't wait to see everybody again.

Default awesome

I think I'll be at the races again with my twin turbo truck and I'll drive the z too...but it's just good for 12.50 all day long

It's like why bother...but I love it...what an awesome car.

2 cars, 1 trailer...I work all my life to get a trailer so I don't have to worry about getting home if I break, then I take two cars to the track and risk breaking both of them.

It feels very wierd to do that. But...you only live once and our Z's are bullet proof right? I mean, I've even tried to break mine and it doesn't break!

Rock on....Hope to see all of you soon.

Anyone doing the marfa to presidio open road race???????????????/ I bet not.

Texas mile is full FYI

c'mon...

I'm still traumatized from the last time I took the Z to the Sealy drag strip here in Houston. I almost wreck into the ford lightening and then into the wall. Man I thought with the Mickey thompsons on I was going to get the fastest time I've ever gotten out of the Z but instead almost whipped it out. 4500 rpm launch and the car jumped outta the hole 20 ft ahead of the ford lightening. It was awesome. But when I shifted into 3rd gear something happened and the rear end started fish tailing left and right. I think the only thing that saved me were the sticky Mickey's. So I'm still a little cautious about the drag strip.

Glenn,

My wife and I are planning the trip down for Vegas however it depends on when I get back from Afghanistan. Right now I'm scheduled to return the weekend prior but you can never depend on the airlift out of here.

The TT ZR1 is not registered so we will most likely drive down in Dee's Z06.

Looking forward to it...

Cheers,
RH

Glenn,

My email is hit or miss here in Afghanistan. Denise and I are planning to be there. I'm scheduled to be back in the States this weekend. Looking forward to seeing you, Mary and the gang...
