Default Test Pipes / Cat Eliminators

FOR SALE

Test Pipes / Cat Eliminators
These are pipes that replace your cats.
They were on my 93Ruby, and I bought them from a forum member who also had them on a 93 Ruby ( USA-1Ruby I believe ).
They do not seem to line up with my full factory exhaust, but they lined up and worked fine with my B&B Tri Flows, I guess becuase you can rotate the right side pipe between the resonator and the test pipe.
Same flange connection on left and slip connection on right as stock.
These are coated with a Stainless-like coating( jet hot?), so they look great.
Car felt more responsive and even sounded better with these as opposed to the cats.
pics to follow.
Went the NCRS route, so HellOOOOOOO cats, Good-bye pipes!
$150.00 OBO shipped.
Thanks for looking!

I wish I knew for sure, but I would doubt it.
Thanks for your interest!

Why not bolt headers directly to exhaust?

What exactly are test pipes for? If they are supposed look legit that will get you past visual inspection but not the sniffer. Maybe I'm missing something?

Let's just say you are not yet ready to commit to headers.
Either for grief or expense.
These gave me a noticable improvement for minimal expense or change.
So maybe these give you an alternative.

Let's call them training headers!

Of course headers are far superior.
I bet headers cost a bit more than these pipes.
Heck with the cost, the sound improvement alone was worth it!

But, seems like it will be back to the pile of parts in the basement!

Gotcha, thanks for explanation. I believe cats vs no cats is a 3-5 hp increase but I'm sure the sound is better. Good luck.

Default test pipe pm

I tried to send a pm but you have to clear out some space. Interested if it will fit a 1991.
