Default LT5 bolt pattern

Will a 700R4 or 4L60E bolt up to the LT5?

Yes they will, but only 5 of the 6 bolts line up.Its not a problem 5 will hold the trans
in place. before you install a700r4 or 4l60e contact petezr1@gmail.com . He makes
an adapter that allows you to install a much stronger 4l80e transmission and allows
you to reuse your 6-speed drive shaft and c-beam. He also has a flexplate.



Ask me how i know, i have broke 3 transmssions in the last 6 years (2 4l60e and
1 700r4 ). they will not hold up to high HP engines for long.
I'am replacing the last trans (700r4 full manul shift) with a 4l80e with his new tail housing.

A 700 will require tunnel modifications. GM used Powerglides in C2s because the 3-spd hydro wouldn't fit.
