Default 1994 ZR-1 Emission Testing

I took 1994 #103 out to get inspected today. It has been sitting for basically 2 years. It wasn't running very well - two years I am happy it started.

I took it out and blew the carbon out of it and it passed no problem.

If anybody cares, here is the emission print out.

How does it compare?

How come your cost was lower? Mine cost $39.75. The big difference between yours and mine was the technician used 2446 rpm for the high speed test and 722 rpm for the low speed test. The results are close but I had also replaced the injectors, spark plugs and I drive mine all the time.

I dunno - had our Escalade inspected and it was the same amount.

Maybe Ellis county is cheaper. I think you are in Dallas county.

Injectors and plugs - man, that sounds expensive.

How many miles are on it?

Does the test procedure specify the gear used for 15 and 25 mph? The results are very dependent on that.
I would expect 15 mph would use first, but to be compatible with the original EPA tests, 25 mph would be in fourth. Remember with CAGS, the shifts are at 15 (1 to 4), 25 (4 to 5), and 35 (5 to 6) mph.

88,000 miles. I'm in Tarrant county. It had the original injectors and they were leaking gas. Injectors were $549 and the plugs were $7.00 or so a piece. The plugs were unbelievable. I pulled the original plugs out of it. After talking to people knowledgeable about the LT5, I decided that it would be worth it. I did the work myself. It was worth it. It runs great and fast! Injectors are cheap when you consider the cost of the engine. GM wants $100.00 a piece for the injectors.

Glenn, as far as I know, he did it in first but that is kinda high for the rpm recorded. I'll ask him.

Injector price sounds good to me. Buy some for a 5.9 Cummins and those injectors for your LT-5 look free.
