FS: NEW LT5 Bell Housing, Slightly Modded
Still going through parts. I have this brand spankin' new bellhousing that had a block welded on & hole drilled through. It won't take much work to cut the block loose at the welds, TIG weld the hole closed & smooth it back out.

I dunno. This was in the "end of project" pile when MerCruiser cleaned house. It was probably intended for something to do with development.

Wonder if there was some measuring device stuck in there during their research meaning clearance, clutch temp etc. Would be interesting to find out. Sure it wasnt to spy on black widows

I'm not sure it was ever used. It's so doggone clean. I doubt that a fork ball/stud was ever installed. From what I've seen of the testing stuff, they weren't keen on disassembling, saving or salvaging parts. When engines were pulled out of test vehicles, the harness, & hoses were cut.
