Well guys I just snapped off my oil pressure sensor that is mounted on top of the oil filter housing. Does any one have a part # for this and a place where I can get one????

Thanks in advance.

That sucks but at least you now had a great excuse to get those sockets we were talking about. GC

Yep...Another of several "special tools" I acquired in the course of my upgrade; $15 at AutoZone for the sensor socket. Buy the time I got done, I had to buy one of those upright, rollaway tool chests to hold it all!

I had a set of deep well impact sockets that included the 1- 1/2" size that fits the base of the sensor. I think they make that sensor just a little longer than that socket as it was about 1/4" short of reaching the base to back it out. I then had to buy that ''special tool'' to get that friggen thing off. Probably a Communist plot.

I got it at Oriellys. Their part is # S4088 which they crossed reference from the number that Z proud sent me....12555492

The cost was $21+ tax and the brand is BWD which is made in Mexico. I never bothered checking with GM as their stock locally sucks and I wanted to get the car back on the road. GM's replacment are probably made it China.
