Default front spring

I have a 93 with 100K miles. the front end is 1 1/4 inch lower than 2 other 93's I have measured. A visual inspection doesn't show anything differant between the 3 cars. The front spolier was broken when I purchased it and it would drag often when entering or exiting parking lots. I would like to return the car back to it's original height but don't know what is making it sit lower.

Does anyone have any ideas or can tell me what else to look for that makes the car sit lower?

Thanks in advance

Kevin

Kevin its entirely possible your front end has been lowered using an aftermaket lowering kit. Look underneath to see if the wedges have been replaced with lower profile or shaved stock OEM wedge and longer bolts. Its also possible you have a week front spring but normally you car would list to one side if that was the case. However its is also something to look at

I am attaching a instruction sheet from madvet.com so you can see what im talking about in the spring pad area of part #9. Hope this helps. Daryll

Thanks Daryll, We thought the same. The shims and bolts all look the same as the other 2 '93's we have as references. The drivers side is about 1/4 inch lower. I need to pull it outside and remeasure. With the differance being over an inch I have to think the car has been lowered at some point.

Check the code on the spring...all '92-'95 ZR-1 front springs used the code "FSM" spring. Any other spring from the base model will result in the front end being lower with no other changes.
