ZR-1 shocks?
Will ZR-1 shocks bolt up to a standard C-4 suspension? Are the mounting points the same? Are the travel lengths about the same?
My '94 C-4 FX-3 coupe has a modified suspension. Lowered, composite springs, heavy sway bars, ZR-1 wheels and Kumo MX tires. My rear FX-3 shocks have been rebuilt but my front need to be done. I want to buy some non adjustable ZR-1 shocks to put on the front while I send in my FX-3 shocks for rebuild.
Just wanted to know if they will bolt up.
Will also take opinions on going all ZR-1 non adjustable all the way around. FX-3 is expensive. Or give me better ideas. Hard ride does not bother me. I don't have a big budget or I would buy a new 'Vette.
Thanks

That is my plan but I want to put something on while the FX's are gone. I figured it would take a while to get them back. Who knows, my accuators might need help too. Have to get them checked. An inexpensive non-adjustable that still handles well is what I am shooting for. Any brand as long as it still drives decent. Koni, KYB, Monroe, Bilstien $, Delco?
Did the Z51 suspension come on all C-4 models?
Thanks for all the info guys.

If you just want new, the best price I found was at eshocks...

Thanks
Captain Z CNC rebuilt my actuators. They gave me lots of info and answers. From the time I sent them until I got them back was only a week. Very fast service. I am all back together and working fine. I should be good to go for another 100K. Love my FX3. Why would anybody replace it. It is quite a system.
Thanks.
Thanks.

That was a smart move to retain the FX3 system. I think it's one of the best things about the C4.
I don't know if you are aware of it but you can buy a controller box that uses proms to alter your shock valving rates outside the normal parameters of the FX3 programming.
Like the drag racing prom gives you very soft up front, and stiff in the rear, ("that's what she said!"- Michael Scott), or other combinations for competition.
I'm not sure about it's availability, but someone on here should know.
