Kevin,

Did you get the snow off your new Z yet?

I know I'm not the only one that wants to see pictures of your "NEW" Z.... Please show us!

Funny you should ask that......

One can only DREAM...........

We had snow last week. Snow Thursday and cold rain off and on.

Yes, That's Jim's 402... He can't get here from Montana. We have 3 mountain passes between us. They are getting hit with another foot of snow tonight.

Also, did you do anything with the dash pods to the left and right of the speedo?

Thanks.

Stock GM 2008 center dash. I went through Gene Culley he sells them the cheapest I found. Really good to work with. I was going to do the 09 pod (black dic ) but the 07 gray looks good with just the 08 carbon center added, to me.

Thanks. By the way, I do wonder sometimes if I made the best choice. Your stroker sure would have looked good under the hood of my 91. It's a beautiful motor and as I remember you built it with the best of everything.

While there is a world of difference between my 91 and the Z06, the thing I enjoy most about the Z06 is the low end torque. When you had your stroker in your 94 ZR1, how would you have compared its seat-of-the-pants performance to your 07 Z06 from launch to 100 mph ?

The 402 only had 40 miles on it. Just babied. Most did not know that I flubbed the intake cam on the driver side...... First time cam timing on a quad. Somehow I must have hit the pointer or something. Anyways, It had 210psi on the passenger side and 170psi on the driver side. The motor never sounded right cranking on fire up. After some help from Pete, Marc, Corey.... I had to pull the motor and recheck all the cams. Timed again and all is cranking 210psi. The motor never made it back in the car.
The limited driving I did, was massive torque gain. I live on a hill side, with 40mph limit. The 350 would start in 5th at bottom and I would be down to 3rd by the top of the hill. The 350 would pull 4th but you would be in the throttle pretty deep. The 402 would pull 5th gear, just idle lugging torque. It's much the same torque feel of the 427 LS7. I do love the torque it makes. For those that have not driven one, the car just needs to 900/1000rpms and your good the go in that gear. I think Top Gear did a 5th gear take off with it. Crazy torque.

I have a 380ci LT5 that Im building for GC. I know he will get a big torque gain with the offset ground factory crank. This is why I'm a BIG fan of the 378-382ci LT5. If you are thinking of making a 368 go the extra few buck and make the crank 3.75 stroke.

You have 1 7/16 from hub and 6 7/8 from center axle out. Check your rims Matt.

I'm more than happy with the set up. The Z finally looks like it has proper brakes & also performs very well. All GM hardware makes it easy for replacement parts

Thanks Rick

Just keep the hood closed and all is good. GM spend $0.00 dollars on the appearances of the motor.

Those set up looks great. I have been trying to do that set on my car for awhile now. You just gave me inspiration to finish.
