Default Ok next issue....radio LED.....

Left side of radio LED is dim...........hopefully this is just a tiny bulb, and not an LED problem?

Gonna be a pain to get to for one little light isn't it? I think I've been there before.......gotta start with taking the console apart?

Ok let me clarify a little bit......the top LED display gets darker more and more towards the drivers side of the cabin. I took the radio out, and it does not look like an easy repair, if there is indeed a problem. I could only see one light to light the clear tube for the display, and it comes from the passenger side of the radio panel, so it would stand to reason that it would get darker the farther you get from the light source. However, I do not remember it being like this. Am I missing something, is there another light hidden in the front radio panel, that I can't see, that lights the drivers side of the LED, or am I chasing something that is not even a problem, but just different from what I remember? Is your LED display the same brightness all the way across, or does it get darker towards the left side of the display?

Like I said, this does not look easy, as the bulbs are part of the circuit board.

I think I have my answer.....this one is the same brightness all the way across.

Ahh.yep I couldn't see some of those..great pics thanks.

I may chose to send off to Dr. Don's.

After talking with Don, I think I'll have it upgraded with an MP3 jack where the casette tape area is, and get everything else back to top notch.

Trust me I caught the bose flack from wasting time on it fixing bulbs and other issues. I never listen to C/D's or cassettes and really only just listen to my JACKFM. I mainly choose to repair everything because I like the stock looks and how unlike aftermarket head units it matches all the dash perfectly.
