HELP with a bad miss!
1990 ZR-1 w/ 45M miles. First started w/ miss at idle and now has progressed to a miss at throttle which was not cured with new plugs. Would appreciate some advice as to who in the Washington D.C. area you would trust to diagnose and service. Up to now I have been able to deal with the minor problems that have cropped up over the last 20 years but need some help with this one!

You need to slide on over to the ZR-1 Net Registry forum. There's a large and very active group of ZR-1 owners in the DC area called the "Wazoo." They gather just about every weekend at someones place to work on someone's ZR-1 or if there's nothing to do, they have pizza & shoot the breeze.
Post in the Technical section & one of them will get in touch with you.

Safety Car
probably injectors or ignition (depends on previous repair history), but the injectors are almost surely bad if you have never changed those.
Or it could be that with 45 million miles on your car, it's worn out

Just wanted to thank everyone who replied. XLR8TIN I think you have me on the right track - original everything including 20 year old injectors. Hope all 16 don't have to go but you gotta do what you gotta do. ZR-1 GUY have sent you a PM. Maybe this is something I can deal with myself after all.

When I bought my Z, the injectors were all replaced. I didn't realize it at the time, but it turns out they were replaced...with new old OEM stock! So, in just over 3 years, from out of the blue comes an old familiar problem...a couple injectors went south.
I installed new Accels, and WOW! And, she made 432 hp at the wheels the next day after Marc H finished a dyno tune.

PS
I guess I shoulda mentioned too that LT5 was fully ported and had a free flowing exhaust - not to imply Accel injectors alone got me to 432...don't I wish!!
