New Dyno #'s on Nitrous--WOW
I took my ZR back up to Aaron @ SGC for some final tweaks before BG(we added a cold airbox--I finally caved...), put in a new nitrous line(I pinched my other one badly while lifting the car) and strapped it down...
604.8 RWHP, It had ideal bottle pressure(abt 1050-1075). We had ideas of going to a bigger pill(next one up), but finally decided against it for now because it was dead-nuts perfect on the Air/Fuel(12.9-13.1) up top. We backed it up w/ a 598.8 RWHP run, but It had lost bottle pressure by that point due to the bottle heater not working properly(I had put the bottle in the sun right before the 1st run to get the pressure up). Peak torque was just over 570.
The car also put down a staggering 474.9 RWHP on motor, but I did not back the run up w/ another motor only run.
Needless to say, Aaron and I are just plain tickled w/ the results, and he attributes the outstanding #'s to proper break-in w/ petrloleum based oil.
We plan to do a bit more 'experimenting' after BG to see what we can come up with, and to hopefully back up the motor only run--meanwhile I'll be hopefully putting down some 10's next week @ BG--track conditions permitting...
BTW, for comparison's sake, my car put down 529.3 RWHP when it made the 11.0 @ 128.8 run.
I write this w/ a very heavy heart, after just learning about the passing of my Friend, Doug Johnson... :(

Got to be happy with that George. :D What size pill are you running? I think you will be posting a 10 second run here in the near future. Weren't you at 459 on motor before the break in? How have you broken the car in? How many miles....ect..
Details, details details. I am living vicariously through you and everybody else, I need details. :D :D :D :D

Incredible numbers!!!
That is the highest 368 rwhp on motor only that I have seen.
Once again, outstanding.
Look forward to meeting you in person this week.

Wow, those are killer numbers George. I can only guess at what another 150rwhp must feel like. 600rwhp will net you mid 10's at 135mph+ at the drag strip. I hope they put down lots of traction compound at Beach Bend next weekend.

Re: New Dyno #'s on Nitrous--WOW (NORM KOERNER)
Thanks guys, I'll try to answer some questions:
Joel, I'm as stunned by the #'s as I am happy... It had the 'stock' #65 pill from the NOS system. I really can't give the 474 RW on motor the nod, because I didn't back it up w/ another run to verify. I wonder if the airbox, relocating the MAF sensor and trying to shove the directional fan's air into the intake helped?? Could't hurt I guess;) ... The car now has abt 1500 miles since break-in, and just changed the oil again for the 3rd and last time w/ petroleum oil--synthetic is next. I drove it fairly hard, trying to build cylinder pressure(low engine speed, full throttle roll-ons) more than RPM'ing the motor.
And Joel... the cranks are BEAUTIFUL!!!
Steve, Thanks, and I'm hoping you're right abt the HP #'s on motor. Look forward to meeting you as well. BTW, nice car!
Cam, I hope you're right abt the compound AND the hopeful MPH #'s :yesnod:
Norm, I'll race ya'-------IF you give me 1/2 a track head start in BG  Thanks!

Based on what Cam got on his car with the 0.065 pill verses his NA numbers, and what your's does I would be willing to bet that 475 (555 at the crank!) is NOT a reach for NA power for your car. His 0.065 pill added 130 hp to his RW numbers. However you slice it, you have one bad ****.

man that is some serious OOOOFFFF DAH!!! who says an LT5 is down on torque!!! wow, that is one strong 368. A 368 on the jug sure sounds like the best bang for the buck to me.
don't get your hopes up too much at BG. the track is a bit slippery and can be tough to get down. they only spray it for the "big boys" and our cars running street tires typically just don't put down enough rubber to get the track to hook very well. just hit the giggle gas a bit further down or you might blow off the tires.
what are you running for rear meats??? man that think is one fine looking beast!!!
congrats on the super pulls. Aaron is the MAN!!, very reasonable, and nice to deal with.
I'm drooling on the keyboard!!! cya in BG (caravan from Alex VA/DC metro area meeting in the Dulles Parking lot, or C U going down to BG).
look for "old blackie" VA tags, Z1 KING!!! man I am so stoked!!! :yesnod:

I recorded one of George's runs at Beech Bend last weekend. I'm out all of this week on business, but once I get back home I will be digitizing the video and will post it here.

Re: New Dyno #'s on Nitrous--WOW (RonRed89)
Ron,
I look forward to seeing it!!!
We're still getting the car ironed out, we should be looking @ 134-135 trap speeds but are only trapping 130-131+(but it's trapping almost 105 in the 1/8th!!). We gotta find that 'missing' horsepower. :yesnod:
BTW, did your car have the polished/chrome wheels? if so, it's a good runner!!!
George

George carried me for a ride in his car at BG. Words can't describe it. He didn't use the juice--if he would have, I'd have asked to be let out. That car screams. I fly F-15s for a living and George's car might have "out-thrilled" even that.
