Clear coat is tough, tends to yellow.....I would use either a dedicated high temp paint light VHT or check with someone like Eastwood...

The stainless hex head cap bolts are a nice touch, and very practical too; especially the 4 bolts that hold the coolant pipe to the IHs (injector housings). Those bolts are often exposed to coolant and the stock steel ones often rust around the threads and seize up in the IHs.
Wander over to the ZR-1 Registry for a list of the bolts to buy (from McMaster Carr or whomever) along with the special sealing washers that goes with 'em.
Welcome to the "Brotherhood of the Beast"! It's hard to think of a better pair of stable mates than a C6 Z06 and a ZR-1!

You can get bolts you need, original & SS as a full set, individual application sets or even single original bolts.

Yeah... I liked that one of yours so much, I hadta take a shot of it too!
One of my favorites..
This is BMW wheel paint from a rattle can. It has a bit of silver metal fleck in it. I couldn't decide if I wanted it silver or some other color, so I figured for under $10 I'd try silver. That was a couple years ago, and that stuff is holding up pretty dang well, surprising enough!
As far as silver goes, Bob G's 427 LT5 is PC'ed and it is the best by far that I've seen - far as silver goes. And, of course there always =Jeff= and that candy-apple red
As for the lettering, I thought it would be a bitch. Well, masking tape IS a bitch to use. But, I ended up tossing the masking tape and simply hand brushing the paint into the letter recesses with a cheap camel hair artist's brush. I was reasonably careful to stay inside the recess boundaries to minimize cleanup, but found it wasn't necessary to be too fussy about getting paint where I didn't want it. (Read on)
Then, I dampened a Q-Tip with fingernail polish remover - just damp (not quite dry) - and wiped the excess paint right off. It was really easy, and the I was able to do it all from start to finish in less than a couple hours, including drying time.
