The forum or is the 'registry' something different ?
Ron I apologize .. yes they were made by carter. They are for the front sway bars.
Sorry for not updating !! I will have tons of pics to post tomorrow. It's been a busy two weeks trying to clean up the car and polisj it up. It was picked up Saturday morning and delivered to the show this evening. I just got home from quick detailing it at the event so it's at the convention center downtown although the display and positioning is not done yet. I spent a bit of time quick detailing it as it got water drips all over and such from transport in this great cdn weather ! Many pics coming .. my hands are still shaky from the porter cable

Thanks !! Ive been slacking on posting here because every time I tried photobucket either froze or just wouldn't cooperate. And then on top of that I accidentally back clicked a long post the other day I wanted to try and add more photos and details of everything instead of just picking and choosing the favourites for instagram etc I will re-try this update with pics later after work today !

I just saw your car a few days ago in the Corvetteonline email. What a beauty! I sent the link to several friends after reading the article. The story also had a link to this thread on the Forum and I've spent the last couple of days reading the whole thread.
Your attention to details are maddening and inspiring all at the same time!
I've been a Zaino guy for years, but lately I've been considering trying the AmmoNYC products or maybe the Gyeon line of products.
Good luck with the show!

I'm really behind on photos but I don't want this to snowball so I will start with a bunch today and continuously update as the day goes.
I'll start with the article .. huge thanks to David Cruikshank. What a pleasure to chat with and talk cars especially c4s and about my car and it's story. The link was posted but I'll post it again ..

I'll start back with the cleanup of the ZR-1 for the show...

I like Zaino a lot. I'll keep it short and say I wanted a quality carnauba (Zaino doesn't have any-as far as I know) and wanted to actually use a light cutting compound to get some swirls out and polish vs using an all-in-one (zpc fusion). I went with chemical guys. Have a great location down the street from me and I k is better than to take reviews with a grain of salt as I believe there are far too many variables when it comes to detailing that can impact final results so let's just try it out and see how it works.
Started with the 'clean slate' to remove any old product. It was evident there was some Zaino still on and the wash did remove it. As a company I think they've done a great job making a product for literally every step imaginable. As a consumer I'll admit it's kind of convenient
I used a wheel cleaner And of course used the leftover clean slate in the bucket on the wheels afterwards as well.

Washing in freezing temps is never fun I had to run the garden hose from the basement and use hot water but it works. Managed to make an ice rink on the driveway afterwards overnight but no one got hurt !
Back in the garage .. hood open warms it up a good bit but I had some heaters in there to keep it warm.
Started with clay lube/spray detailer and clay bar. I always do the lower half of the car front wheels back as they're usually the dirtiest.
I started with the V34 with an orange pad with a porter 7424xp I think. I've wanted to step up to a rotary but no time to order one at this point and wait. Takes a bit of time with a dual action polisher but it still did what I wanted. I wish I went with a yellow pad but it did a decent job of removing light swirls. I was worried about going too aggressive and I only had one yellow pad and didn't want to stop halfway overnight and need a new pad and have to call it a night so I stuck with orange pads.

After the polish I went to a glaze. Used the porter I like how it spreads it nice and thin and makes removeal easier in my experience. Imo this glaze (glossworx) is very similar to Zaino z5.
Making it look pretty
Final coat was jet seal. Imo very similar to Z2. Goes on the same comes off just as easy. Nice shine with it.
Started cleaning up underhood fender liners and black trim/plastic while waiting for stuff to dry.
Last minute polishing with a powerball of the mufflers and pipes and touching up the tire tray (not done yet in this pic)
System will likely be up for sale this spring as I plan to build a 3" system more to come on that later ! I love this system I just want 3".

Big thanks to tfx JB and crew. Made it look so easy getting the car inside .
Temporary spot a few days before the show
Touched up the car inside the display room. Was much nicer than a cold garage!! Some closer up pics
Flood lights were off but room lighting was on and was great to see the reflections and deep blue
Getting ready to leave around 3am. Was chatting with the security guard John about all of his muscle cars he had back when he was younger . Took a pic for me
