I feel it should be selling above the original sticker price, but I guess not.

Certain dealers would hold out for at least $60k. I'm not saying it IS or ISN'T worth it. Just an opinion based on past history.

I sure hope this isn't where all of the Quasar '90s are......I'd like to pick up another one down the road...I've only seen a couple of them trade hands.

I saw that car along with the other 4 the same owner has. They are all at RKMotors in Charlotte NC.

1990 Black
1990 Red
1994-5 admiral Blue
1994-5 Red
1994-5 polo green

All have less than 9k miles. Every car would Top Flight!

Probably not top flight without a bunch of work. I've seen two <700 mile ZR-1s second flight because they couldn't pass ops. Operations is the biggest killer of top flight cars out there

Hmmmmmmm
To 2nd flight you would need to lose over 6% of 4500 points.
6x45 equal 270 points.
At approx 20 points per ops line item, that would be a helluva lot of issues on a low mile car. While certainly possible, it indicates a complete lack of prep for the flight judging.
Just saying

I would say these were all maintained as to the fullest extent. The owner is a very good friend of Mr. Rick Hendrick.

One thing noticed while looking them over, the admiral blue car seemed to have more use even though it wasn't the highest mile car of the five.

Yeah I would have guessed one would want more, and it's dealer, no telling what they convinced the owner to sell it for.

Meaning things that dont work, seat bladders, radio functions. There are parts of the car that die over time regardless of mileage.Top Flight would be a car that looks as if it just left the showroom, thats what I think anyway.

Top Flight is an award level that a Corvette may earn when being judged at a National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) judging event.

In my own words, NCRS perfection is the way the car was at the moment it rolled off of the assembly line.
Each and every part is judged first on originality, then if original, on it's condition.
Every car starts out with 4500 points.
Deductions are then taken for lack of originality and less than perfect condition.
If a car scores 94% or better, it is awarded a Top Flight designation.
Part of the judging also validates that the operational systems on the car are also fully functional as when new.
Lights light, brakes brake, CD players play etc.
Please visit the NCRS website for accurate descriptions of all, but you get the idea.
A no mileage car while all original and likely perfect, may also have difficulty with all of its systems operating perfectly, due to lack of use.
Each would need to be tested to verify that it works exactly as intended when new, with corrective measures taken where needed.
Hope that simplified e xplantation helps.
Again, visit the site, and also look at Bloomington Gold website which will describe another similar endeavor.

NCRS judges cars according to "as factory new". There are 5 sections: Operations, Exterior, Interior,Chasis, Mechanical.

The Operations section checks that everything works as new: horn, lights, radio, wipers, instrument panel, etc.

4500 total points, with deductons in each category for originality and condition. Additional points are given for driving to the event, a fire extinquisher, NCRS decal, and battery shut off switch.

Note that driving points are only given at local and regional NCRS events. The nationals do not award driving points.
