According to "the registry" it was once titled and resided in Illinois, I'd consider maybe starting with "that owner" - In Nov '12 it looks like it was offered for sale in Clearwater FL by a dealer. It appears to have above average "record totals" in CARFAX but they could be maybe annual safety inspections.
The registry doesn't date when the VIN was registered there so unless someone knows or "follows up" from there it can't be known if that was before or after the "for sale" in FL.
