Maybe you should start a new thread "All torque motors are fail in my book".
This thread started out in regards to gains from an x-pipe.
Let's face it your M3 is geared because it doesnt make torque. Isnt your 1st gear around 15:4:1 which says it all.
Exactly my point. What the gear ratio is isnt important. It's the fact that a motor that makes the same hp but 80 or so less ft-lbs torque is equally as fast and it weighs more to boot. That says it all. Again....
Gearing can give you torque. It can't give you hp.
I should make a thread actually that would be interesting lol!
Here is the inside of the B&B reasonator. What a difference from the x-pipe.
I am going on a whime in saying I am going to pick up some power, and its going to be louder! I will start a new thread with the gains....
Problem is your muffler has similar baffling although it doesn't neck down like the resonator does. I'd be interested to see the gains with elims and the x together. Then you can tow all the gardening supplies and not just groceries with the newfound torque it makes
The resonator pictured is like mine, which is an old style unit (mid-nineties), I don't know when they changed the design.
Ok thanks. My system came off a 96 LT-4, and I bought the system used back in 2004 I believe. I was like new when I got it as the owner's wife thought it was too loud.

I will reserve a comment as to keep this thread on topic!
