Request - Pics of B & B restrictor plates
Can someone post pics of the restrictor plates in the tips that everyone is talking about. Also, what is the best way to remove these plates? It would be nice to see a before and after pic of this removal.
Thanks,
Thanks,

I would remove it with a carbide grinding bit. I hear it is a pain in the rear becasue it's stainless.

I took mine out with a carbide bit...and powered it with my air compressor. it took less than an hour. Be careful of the shavings...they are very sharp and get into everything. Wear goggles and long pants. I also had a shop vac and used it often. This is a must do mod for cheap HP.

Nice!, Thanks!!!!!
I just ordered my new B&B set with the x pipe in place of the resonator. I don't think that B&B will remove the restrictor plate so I will have to get it removed.

Re: Request - Pics of B & B restrictor plates (C56spd)
I just installed a new set of B&B with the X pipe less than a month ago. I talked to the management there about cutting them out before shipping to me and they said it has been removed on the current new systems as a new mod due to feedback requests. It's not there. Be ready for resonance at all RPM and lots of it, dosen't get much louder.

I've ridden in cars with both in and out. I left mine in. For five horsepower, I have no resonance and the sound is music to the ears. I thought about removing them--with time maybe but now it's awesome sound without the droning resonance.

The B&B system on my 91 is a little over a year old and did not come with the plates. The resonance is bad but only under 2000 rpms. I will have my X-pipe by Fri or Sat. I will inform of the difference in sound if any. :flag

Re: Request - Pics of B & B restrictor plates (C56spd)
I'm sure the addition of the X pipe will make a marked change in resonance from below 2K rpm to all rpm. The use of the 6 speed helps, I up and down shift allot now to keep it a little more mellow. But as often as I drive it I like the noise, especially when you get on it.
I am changing my sig as soon as I get some pics downloaded this week as well as my username to 95ZR1#418

Hey, who drives at 2,000 rpms??? Just kidding. My diff. change to 4:10's really made 6th gear usable on the hwy.
Keep us posted on your install. Pics and comments would be nice. :chevy
