Default LT5 factory dyno sheets

I remember reading some time ago that every LT5 was dynoed at the factory and copies of those sheets are available. I thought it was via the NCM but I can't find anything about it on the site.

Am I mistaken or are these available?

TIA

I just spoke with the NCM on Monday of this week about them. Looks like it may be some time before they are allowed to release them. :( But they do have them

From what I understand, Jim Van Dorn has some engine documents as well (possibly with a copies of all the dyno sheets), but he will want big $$$ for them. He gave a few away once but then you had to donate to Pirate Racing to even get a response. Oh well.

Legal problem's would most likely start with under or overrated engine's. An example would be a sluggo vs. 8338's ringer.
Then there's the under/over rated h/p vs. the insuranse company's.
This IS an opinion.

The claim of the NCM not selling the dyno sheet's to us because of the time factor involved just doesn't sound likely. Cash produce's result's. We all would pay for the sheet's and the NCM is aware of this. So they are holding the sheet's for another reason.

Wouldn't those same legal issues exist if I just went out and dynoed my own motor?

I would think it coule be tried, but may be shot down as being a biased test as the engine has left Chevrolet's hands and anything could be done to it now.

The "real" ones from Merc. & Chevy could be used against them as "You knew this one didn't make enough HP, why did you sell it?" or "You knew this one made more HP than you are telling insurance agencies, why did you sell it?"

I wonder what the statute of limitations is on something like that. The youngest ones are 7 years old and mine is over 12 years old.

I have no idea, but I don't think you'd see Ford releasing the ones for those Cobras a few years back.

...will want big $$$ for them...
For some reason living in California, I never know what “Big Money” is. When our winter heating bills are $50 I think of that as big money. When a mortgage payment is $5000, well that is chump change.

So the question, how much is BIG?

Thanks, George

You wind the Cuban cogar,Joel.
I'm not the original owner of mine and I'd even sign a waver stating that I won't sue them over it. I'd just like to have the sheet.
