I was thinking...Ouch..that hurt.

The stock manifold and cats are 1 unit. They are no longer available. You had to use a "shorty" header and separate cat to replace factory unit. Thinking that the only guy to do it was Mark Haibeck. Maybe it was the AIR tubes in headers...... I've out of the game too long now. California and smog test/checks You could make the car run clean to pass, but if it will not pass a visual...... That just sucks.

Gorgeous ZR with excellent mods. Don't drop your price, it's way low enough for the year, miles and mods. Beautiful. I hope you can be patient and have it advertised in other venues. Patience will sell it nicely.

All the best!

My '91 has 29k miles and since I've bought it in 2000 have never had trouble getting it smogged

He would also know if the seller has cats or not. I know Mark does both, with and without cat headers.

Good Luck to both
Thanks! But first I gotta make sure I get the car first haha.

Thank you. This seems to be a very nice clean car. However, I threw the towel as it looks like I probably don't match to be a ZR-1 owner. In every purchase attempt, there was always something went wrong.

One hillarious example was at a final stage of a local transaction. We were at the bank, the cashier's check was made by a teller in the front of the seller. So, there was no legitimacy issue. We were anout to exchange the check with the title, but the seller suddenly ran out of the bank and drove away (?????). I didn't even bother to call and asked what happened. For me it was clear that he was too attached to the car. Hello mister, maybe you are here and reading this (the meet process wasn't from this forum).

I've also many times bought and sold cars out of state, even out of the country. Always smooth. This includes buying and selling a Lotus Esprit unseen out of state. That car is probably the paramount of Murphy's Law, yet the processes were smooth.

So again, I really don't know whatever it is, but I do know when to call it quit. Gents, ZR-1 is a great car, but it is not for me. I wish all of you well and enjoy your cars.

So everyone knows Fly2Low never seen my car in person and we did come to terms on a price but there were to many obstacles with him arranging shipping and payment. I prefer to have the money clear my bank before handing my title over or shipping my car. TTT for a new week, car is still for sale.

What exactly is the a "ZR-1 air blaster air filter intake"? Did you cut the plastic underneath so the air is cold and fresh and enters directly?

It's just a hand made stainless air filter intake, nothing was altered for these to fit, they use the original size air filter, they are rare and a lot of people like the looks of them better than the plastic original ones. I have the original one the car came with.

Ok but how does Air enter? You made this yourself?

I did not make it, a guy by the name of Frank Coplan made these years ago, approximately 50 of these I believe. It's nothing but a fancy air filter holder, the air still enters the same as any other intake, it just looks really nice compared to the original black plastic piece. thanks brody p.

You can see it in the 11th post first pic, you can visually see the air filter but look how pretty the Air Blaster housing looks compared to an original. brody p.
