1990 ZR1/Apache Pickup
Bought a very slightly damaged salvage 1990 ZR1 (left headlight area) to transplant the ZR1 under my 1959 Chevy Apache. Bought a custom frame and mounted the ZR1 suspension with FX3, ABS, LT5, ZR1 radiator and 4l60E trans. Used the 17" original ZR1 wheels. Everything is installed and in place and looks great. The plenum, water pipes and valve covers are polished like a mirror. The BCM was roasted (didn't know), so I bought one online, same part number. The BCM and ECM are communicating, but I can't get past the VATS. Don't know the number for the BCM I bought, so bought key blanks 1-15 thinking I could nudge the ECM to give me an injector pulse. Have fuel pressure and spark. Just bought Tech 1 (on its way) to hopefully find the resistance of the BCM and get the ECM to give me an injector pulse. Really having a hard time, but can't give up now...too many bucks gone. Anyone have any ideas? Gotta find a way. Thanks Russ

Wow, what a great project, and what a nice looking LT5
Sorry, I can't help with the VATS issue, but someone will chime in.
Good luck

Great looking LT5 and truck,
Find someone with a vats interrogator, once you find the right ohm resistance you should be good to go. Other options at that point would be get a buy-pass or find the wire in the steering column and solder in the correct resistor.
Good luck.

If the OP can accomplish crank and that I'd think he may have already accomplished or understands he would be all set.
OP the chassis looks to be a very professional build. I'd like to see more of the fabrication to get the IRS and the D44 installed.

Much better idea, The op did not say if he incorporated the C4 dash and steering column.
