Saw this car last year at Ken Lingenfelter's facilities in Michigan. Its actually can pump out over 500hp (from a 5.7L) and it doesn't even have the variable valve lift technology or cams that it was designed to use. Look at what Mercury Marine has recently announced with their 7L SBC cylinder heads for the LS7 block (750chp/545ctq and NA) to see the potential GM just pissed away (again).

Yeah, and think what could have been with a 6.2L VVT DI supercharged DOHC motor! (Maybe in a mid engine C8? We can always hope...if electric hybrids don't get in the way first!)

we'll see if gm has the cajones to do another contract for the c8 with Merc Marine

those heads and intake look great. the big turbo boat motors just are gorgeous and it's high time to see another dohc vette and for gods sake hank a proper set of hair dryers on it!

I hang around the ferraristas and it would be great to see an 800 hp plus c8 that weighs in around 3k lbs with a new 10 spd transaxle

that's enough for me. I won't likely be able to afford it, but I sure hope they have the stones to build it.

then lets run it for 24 hours and see what happens.

Ron,

Wonder if there will be several levels of ME as w have w the C7 ie Stingray, Z51, Z06, and possibly a ZR1. So u could have a mid engine w an LT motor and RWD, then a mid engine w DOHC, then a mid engine DOHC w hybrid 4WD.
