Default ZR1 Windshield

Does anyone know who manufactured the ZR1 windshields for Chevrolet. I have a new in the crate windshield and believe it to be NOS but want to be sure. It has the large opening so it's correct for a 1990-1992.

It was Libby-Owens-Ford or as it would appear in the corner of the windshield, "LOF".

LOF sold out their auto glass manufacturing to Pilkington Group in 1986 according to what I can find.

I haven't researched that, but I would believe it to be more like "2006".

Glass was manufactured by Pilkington, it has the LOF logo in the passenger side lower corner.

This post has a snapshot of an early ZR-1 windshield "bug". If your glass has the correct "bug" then OE and you can actually determine the date produced.

Default ZR1 Windshield

I think I have the final answer for the new windshield I have. It was manufactured in Finland an unknown number of years ago when someone ordered 50 each of both styles.
The company that produced them is Saint-Gobain Sekurit. This company is both on OEM and aftermarket automotive glass manufactures. These were produced for the aftermarket and have been out of production for quite some time. I am looking to sell this windshield for a reasonable price. If interested please call me at 561-312-1859. The windshield is already in a very good shipping crate and ready for transport.

Default ZR1 Windshield

I agree, however to keep everyone happy I am offering the windshield at $1400 as I have already told two of you. This is $600 less that the "Corvette Windshield" guy for the exact same windshield.
If someone would like to purchase it at that price or make me an offer contact me. I believe that is call negotiating not fishing.

With out a posted price it's fishing. Now that the price is posted... it's. A negotiation.

That would be Kurt White. I have one of his windshields in a box as well. Unfortunately, many broke in transit and he kind of got a bad name for a while.
