First post, hopefully it's okay to post something like this here! Just curious if anybody has any information on this car - if somebody's checked it out or had somebody check it out for them? It's been at the dealer for a while and since I first saw it listed they've already knocked $1000 off the asking price. Even w/o the "finance bonus", it still seems like a pretty good deal at 16 grand if everything checks out. Maybe somebody lives in the area and would be willing to check it out? I'm on the other side of the country and would probably have it shipped if I chose to buy it.
Which leads me to my secondary question - does anybody know of a shop in the Westchester/Putnam/Dutchess area of New York State that would be willing to work on an LT5? I'm shopping around a few different cars, and whether or not there's a good shop nearby could sway me towards/away from a ZR-1.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Welcome to the forum!
I need to congratulate you on your color selection; I happen to be a fan.
I can't help you much on the car as the photos are limited however, 15K is a bit under the market right now. First blush is that it seems to be ok, but the lack of engine pictures are a bit concerning. As the car is in Arizona, rust will be a non issue, but dried out rubber/seals may be a factor.
Don't worry so much about a place in NY to do LOTS of work on the ZR1 as the bulk of the car is still C4. The engine is pretty solid and most of it can be worked on by a conscientious owner and a field service manual. Look for a solid, reputable classic car repair place (maybe a corvette specialist) and they can do the job.
If it (mostly) checks, I'd say that at 15k (or less) is a steal. Ask about documents such as window sticker, Pizza Box, bill of sale...etc. Ask about records or modifications...etc.
Buying any car cross country is a gamble (I bought my ZR1 1600 miles away from the original owner) so you might want to spend a couple hundred on an inspector.
You are chasing the right car.

Someone from the other forum was interested, but that was a few days ago, looks like this car has been in Pacific Northwest until 7/17, click on Carfax, that is when Chapman took it in, it is costing them $ every day it sits there, over 4 months now, they will be happy to deal but not on the tax, title, license, DOC fee, make lowball offer & stick to your number, bottom line is all that matters, center caps? seats, is that leather or pleather, if owner was to cheap to fix these items properly, then what else were they to cheap on, pics of motor?
