Grey (repainted) 92 ZR-1 with about 92K miles for $13,960. Engine needs cleaning (probably refinishing), but supposedly everything except rear speakers and lumbar works, supposed to run good, and has clean carfax. Have my dad who lives outside Atlanta going by to look at it tomorrow.
Looking for a fun weekend car that I can mod to my taste. Love the color, and looks like a great deal for a staring point if there's nothing major wrong with it.

Just saw this post, what part of Atlanta? I'm on the south side would be happy to help if I can. If you end up with it let me know have been an owner for close to 20 years.

The price is certainly right on it, if it is as described. If it passes review by my Dad, I will probably throw them an offer to see how much they'll move on it. I was considering a Heibeck 402 car in Texas, but I've yet to see good pictures of it, and it's black. Black can be beautiful (for about 5 minutes after it's washed), but I absolutely will not do black again, so I'd end up repainting (or wrapping it), which would make it about $20K more than this one. For that much difference, I could have a lot of fun modding this one the way I want it to be, instead of how someone else wanted it.

Just heard from my Dad. Car looks good, especially for mileage. He specifically said the gauges and dash were much clearer/nicer than his car. The headlight gears are partially stripped (grinding on both on/off), otherwise everything works. He said he couldn't really feel a difference between Normal and Full power modes, but did say the car pulled noticeably harder than his LT1. He did say he didn't wind it all the way out, so this could be that he didn't rev high enough to really feel the difference, someone has had it retuned so the secondaries are always on, or worst case the secondaries aren't opening due to a vacuum leak. Doesn't really matter too much as one of the first things I'd do with the car is drop it with Corey Henderson for top end porting and powder coating and any other needed maintenance. Guess I'll see how low they're willing to go on it.

Cool, Corey will do you right and get it sorted out. I would guess secondary system not operating correctly as your dad should have felt a big difference key on to key off.
Good Luck

they actually had two when i was there looking at something else.
there is another black 90 right up the street at gas motors
i didnt drive it but heard it run when the moved it to get another car out. i think it had a corsa exhaust if i recall correctly.
place is owned by a guy named charlie. he's nice enough and seems to run the place to fund his high end car addiction.

Shifter I'd end up just doing a short shifter anyway, so really don't care as long as it works for now.

Live right near Airport Industrial, lots of car dealers. Never heard of this guy or his place. Never liked when they take pictures in front of high dollar houses. If you need me happy to help, don't know squat about ZR1 motor other than what it is, do know a thing or two otherwise.
Good luck.

congratulations with the ZR1. a couple of observations:
- with secondaries in full power always, check to see if it has an aftermarket performance chip. I put in a Marc Haibeck chip last year keeping it in full power. Better for the injectors in the long run. Maybe your Dad did not step on it enough to open those up, hopefully.
- I used a Mequirers Color X paste to clean up and polish my engine by hand. clears the oxidation, etc. Worked great!
- Hope your handy with the tools. With the help of this website, best to do your own work to save time and money!
Enjoy! Now you have something else to do to keep your mind off the Cowboys!

Will be taking lots of pics when I pick it up, and again when I get it home and go through it. Will be driving it back from Atlanta to Dallas next weekend (have a local back road BBQ cruise this weekend). Will be interesting to see if there's any mods when I get it back, or if it's stock. I'm already making my list of plans for it:
Top end porting
Engine refinishing
4.10 gears
Short shifter
LT headers
Complete stereo replacement
And of course fixing any maintenance needs:
change all the fluids, filters, belts, plugs
Injectors (if they haven't already been done)
headlight gears
window trim / weatherstripping
change wheels if the rears are incorrect offset
change all the hoses (if they haven't been done)

Yes, know how to work on them. Had a 91 ZR-1 before and had the intake off several times (injectors, hoses, etc). Ended up having Corey pull the secondary shaft and vacuum system completely. Hopefully this one has a chip to leave it in full power. He did say it was noticeable stronger than his 94 LT1, but that he wasn't able to really get a good full run. He's probably also not used to revving it as high since he's used to an LT1.
