Default *NEW* Apsis: 90-93 C4 ZR1 D-Type Steering Wheel w/Carbon ...pic

Hi All,

Just finish this FIRST C4 ZR1 90-93 D-Type Steering Wheel w/Carbon on Top & Bottom. Awesome!!!!! Can't wait to share the picture with you.

Here is the detail spec.

C4 ZR1 90-93 D-Type Steering Wheel
Top & Bottom: Carbon
Left & Right: Perforated Black Leather
w/Kalahari Stitching

In the past we didn't focus on C4 much but lately more and more C4 customers come to us to upgrade the steering wheel. Some just wrap new nappa leather but this is the first time we make the D-Type for C4.

If you are interested in pricing, please pm or email to jw@apsisusa.com.

Later when we receive the installed picture from our customer, we will share with you again.

Here is the picture. Hope you will like what you see.

Looks great. Would look for one without the carbon but having red ring accent at the top. Now if only it was reasonably priced.

looks really good. I didn't think it would look good with the large squareish center airbag however it does. GC

Good to hear from you again.

If this customer upgrades the Airbag Cover then it will look much better.

That customer really loves it so we are making another one for him. Also, we are making another one for the 94-96 version for him.

Jersey, 90 ZR-1 Wheels are specific, You cannot change them out with any other steering wheel.

Sorry I don’t have enough product knowledge for C4. Still learning.

I know this steering wheel fits for 92-93 but not sure it fits 90-91. If you guys have correct info please educate me. Very appreciated.

Jersey the steering wheel will fit. HOWEVER it has a small hole for the airbag connecter on a 1990 that makes it a one year only wheel. So the Correct line up for the Corvette C4 run is

1990
1991-1993
1994-1996

I said it will fit but the hole for the connector for the airbag is different which means you will need to modify the clip to adapt to the different wheel. This makes it NOT a direct fit without modification

All I can tell you is I bolted this wheel in my 90 with zero modifications. For me it was a direct fit.

How did you attach the Airbag harness clip that attaches to the backside of the wheel to the SIR clock spring? You either had to bend it to relocate it or just left it floating loosely behind the wheel as it attaches differently. If that's a direct fit then I guess whatever works for you... Great . It looks very good I did this several years ago but did not D the lower portion of the wheel. GC
