Default LT5 cam upgrade???

I have always wanted a crazy cammed hot rod. Does anyone have a sound clip for a LT5 with the stage 3 cams or is this just silly?

Thanks and regards,

Rob

700 hp of lt5 goodness isn't silly at all

if you need some cams George has some

kirchoffer had the most radical jeal cams on his 415s that sounded pretty nasty

see zr1 net registry website for sound clips

Rob,U r not going to get the same blup blup blup exhaust w a cammed LT5 as u would w a SBC. DOHC don’t need the same level of overlap and lift as an in block cam motor. The additional valves are what add to the breathing. U will get a low rumble more like a big block chevy but coming from a small block displacement.

Julio's 408 and Kurt's 415 sounded pretty nasty back in the day.

My 415 with stage III Intakes & stage II Exhaust turns heads when I idle through Cars & Coffee, lopeity-lopping through 3" straight exhaust.

Pete Palatsidis and Marc Haibeck have and are currently building and developing LT5s. Examples of their work abound!

They're both members of the "FBI" and the ZR-1 Net Registry. Suggest U go to that site to reach them.

I have billet cores available. Any profile you need or want. We go much bigger than the Jeals or "Stg III" profiles. All depends on what you want. I've got 255@.050/.500 lift on the 427 shop engine.

Jesus those cammed LT5s sound sweet

Makes me laugh how coyote 5.0s need a "ghost cam tune" to sound like they are cammed, even though they aren't.

Its even more fun driving it. I’ve pulled up next to 5.0 Coyotes
and then open up the NPP valves. They pull away from the light gingerly.

As a Registry member for 10years, and Registry Board member for the last 3, I have never run into any examples of their work. It would be worthwhile to see this as another option for our members.
