Default Beautiful looking Z on auction with ZERO feedback!!!

Hey guys,

Here is a beautiful looking Z in the color I am looking for that is on the bay and the seller has ZERO feedback...Would make me hesitant to make an offer?

Again, a poorly written and constructed ad. I could not find it under searching under ZR1... Only came up by paging through the C4 listings.

There is also not a single picture of the underside of the car and spending it's entire life in the NE makes me apprehensive as there could be salt damage to both the steel as well as all the alloy pieces that live under a C4.

(I don't understand these guys that post an ad for a car and poorly describe the vehicle and post very few pictures... Whenever I have sold cars I try to be as thorough and fair as possible... There's a nice looking 69 El Camino on CL I am also interested in and the dude won't respond to my request for a few underside pictures. A 3 hour drive... No phone number... Nada!)

Anyways, looking for suggestions or rec's.

Here's the link:

Thanks!
B-R

Yeah, I'd be a bit dubious. At best the owner does not know what he has (Borlar and Mercury Marine) or at worst someone is fishing for your personal information.

You can smoke them out by sending a few emails from your (personal) safe account.

I have to agree... No feedback, Has not answered a question I sent yesterday and with a user account named; pellcolasuonn-0

Normally those on ebay that are selling a vehicle and have NO feedback usually state the reason why in the description and provide a telephone number.

Regardless, the seller only requires $1,000 within 48 hours and comes with buyer protection??

Can someone decode this VIN to determine its authenticity?

Terrible photos too. Definitely an eBay newby. Somers NY is in Westchester County just north of the city. There are several member in the tri-state area. Possibly you can find one that will check it out in person. Not the kind of thing you want to buy sight unseen.

Sounds like a classic phishing scam. I'll bet the pictures and description have been used somewhere else in the past. In fact, if you Google the VIN you will see it listed with the same photos on a half dozen cars-for-sale sites. --Bob
