I had just posted over on the ZR1.net. Corvette Blogger had put up an article on the accident and linked a local newspaper's story.
If you look at all the pictures, it appears that it was a '94 Comp Yellow/black ZR-1.
Too bad. Glad the driver is alright.

To decide, access the newspaper link and check out the pics. If you zoom the first pic and reduce the verbiage on the bottom of the picture, you can see the side gill. Interior is of a '94 - '95 Corvette, looking at the other pictures.

hey guys...i just posted a reply to this crash over on the zr1 net registry. the owner is a very close friend of mine. i assure you he was not driving erratically. it did not get away from him becasue he was driving like an "***" as previously stated. he was merely out for a sunday morning drive to exercise his corvette. the only thing he remembers is a car passing him and then he looked down at his speedo and it said 42 mph. the left front tire was flat maybe indicating a blow-out which could have caused the crash. he was awake and consious when the rescue guys got there almost an hour afterwards. then it took them 40 minutes to extract him from the car. he is home resting with a broken tibia, bruises stitches etc. hopefully, someday his memory will return to shed some light on this unfortunate accident.

Those pictures and 42 mph don't "jibe" in my mind.
Glad the owner is recovering though!

42mph and folded a vette in half, possible if he never touched the brake pedal. He's lucky to be alive, glad to hear he only suffered minor injuries. Did the airbag pop considering he was airborne?
