we need to put things in a perspective....trying to sell a red 1990 zr1 with a clean title, clean fax, 131k , car for 9k, ..........how does one figure that 9k for a salvage, flood damage a good deal????...I gave up on selling my z.........lots of great talk

Are you in California? If so I have seen the advertisement I believe. Seems to be a good deal to me. I think what hinders the sale is people who are buyers are usually people who can afford to pay cash. 9K isn't an unreasonable amount of cash to have on hand for some people but it's not pocket change either. I have been considering a C4 ZR1 purchase for the last few years and both my credit unions won't even loan on cars that old. One of them will but only if it has had a "certified appraisal" so that's why I'm tryin to position myself to have the disposable cash. With cash it's just usually so much easier and fluid.

You can, with excellent credit, obtain a signature loan as well. Credit unions will usually be the best bet for that.
